Science, engineering and industrial implementation in one cycle

NVF KOSH operates at the intersection of applied research and real metallurgical production. The company’s role is not limited to generating technical concepts: we develop them into workable engineering solutions that can be integrated into existing industrial technologies and equipment.

Our core specialization covers blast-furnace production, hot-blast heating systems, hot-blast stoves, the use of blast-furnace and natural gas, secondary energy resources, waste-gas heat recovery, and the development of high-heat-load components for metallurgical equipment.

Research publications involving NVF KOSH address higher blast-air temperatures, more efficient use of a plant’s own energy resources, improved flue-gas heat-recovery systems, and operating modes of hot-blast stoves. The practical focus is on reducing fuel demand, increasing energy efficiency and improving the stability of thermal systems.

The company’s patent portfolio complements these research areas and includes solutions for natural-gas supply to blast furnaces, hot-blast stove heating, blast-furnace smelting, coke production, tuyere designs, blast heating and stabilization of sinter particle-size distribution. Together, these developments create a broad technology base for solving iron-and-steel production challenges — from process energy to individual equipment components.
